A Mayoral Campaign

So, we here at The Minneapolitan haven’t caught the Foursquare bug yet, but there are two quests for Mayor that we have to applaud.

First, the lovely folks at La Belle Vie have launched a campaign that if you become mayor, you’ll get all sorts of great deals on nibbly bits.

Meanwhile, at King’s Wine Bar, they are looking for someone to dethrone the current mayor (in this case, David de Young of HowWasTheShow.com) and the lucky soul who manages to pull off that feat will get a free bottle of wine.

Speaking of uses of Twitter, a recent tweet from Ra’mon regarding the auf-ing of this week’s episode: “EPPERSON is a Master who deserves mad respect! I’m so fortunate to have been in the company of his wisdom, talent and honest compassion.”  To which we say “Preach On!”  Both gentlemen (especially Epperson in his exit interview) are what we call a class act, kids.  (And thanks to Tom and Lorenzo for pointing this quote out.  They too are a class act.)
