Ruby Isle Loses Its “Appetite”

This morning Mark Mallman posted on his twitter feed the jaw dropping news: “No more Ruby Isle vs GnR CD”

Kindercore Records, who was supposed to release the album breaks the news:

It was fun while it lasted…

Kindercore is confused to announce that Ruby Isle’s song for song remake of Guns N’ Roses’ “Appetite for Destruction” has been removed from online music outlets and record stores and will no longer be available for purchase online or anywhere. Just in time, Ruby Isle is scheduled to play a release show for Appetite at The Triple Rock Social Club in Minneapolis, MN on Saturday, January 29th.

No copies of the record will be availalble at the release party.

We here at Minneapolitan HQ are stunned over this turn of events. We are desperately praying this is some kind of publicity stunt to whip us all into a frenzy, because if it isn’t then it’s a damn shame. We have been working on our review of the album (thanks to the leak of it courtesy of Har Mar Superstar) but we’ll say right now that it’s amazing!

Our hearts also go out to Mark & the guys. We know this project was a labor of love for them and you can tell it by listening to the album.

As far as we know, the band’s show on Saturday, January 29 is still a go but will this affect what they’re playing? We will keep you abreast of any further developments.
