The Minneapolitan HIGHLY Reccomends: Anthology @ XYandZ Gallery

Greetings, chickens!  It’s time for another reccomendation of something you should go see/do/believe in/worship/etc.  This time around, we are asking you to put on your best gallery togs for the “Anthology” show opening tonight at the XY&Z Gallery.  Why, you ask?  Because this show is featuring the work of Stacy Schwartz, Erik Hess, and Steve Cohen: Three of the very best music photographers in this fair city of ours.  If you’ve looked at some review or website featuring a photo of some amazing band performing in town, there’s a very good chance it was taken by one of these three lovely people.  (In fact, we would like to state that this town is blessed with a flock of amazing show photographers, all of whom serve as the archivers and historians of our glorious music scene.)

And if that wasn’t enough each photograph is paired with a text piece by some of the best writers out in the city.

And if THAT wasn’t enough, there’s a promised surprise musical guest.

And if THAT wasn’t enough, next door at the Trylon Cinema, there will be a rotating screening of local music videos.

As we said, we can not recommend this event enough.  See you there tonight!
