Our Pussies Were Rocked

Sweet chickens, last night’s Rebel Rebel: Rock For Pussy benefit at First Avenue last night!  It was packed with local music luminaries as far as the eye could see.  Everyone brought their A Game to this event.  Some of the big highlights include Christian Erickson‘s version of “I’m Afraid of Americans” (all the more impressive since he came on right after those goddesses of glam All The Pretty Horses), burlesque star Nadine Dubois leading a rousing take on “Starman,” and the ubiquitously fabulous Janey Winerbauer on “Sorrow.” For us, the highlight of the night (aside from the finale where everyone joined in on “Young Americans”) was Leslie Ball‘s hauntingly beautiful rendition of “Life on Mars.”

A great evening with great music for a great cause: Well Done Everyone!
